Weekly Prayer

Thank you Father for this day!

I praise Your Holy name, Lord. I am beyond grateful for the wisdom and knowledge that You afford me to have.

Thank you for allowing me to be quick to recognize the schemes of my enemy as You deliver me from the hand of the evil one.

Continue to guide me. Continue to discipline me. Purify my heart O’ God. Continue to allow discernment and knowledge into my life so that I do not fall prey to the devouring lion looking to steel, kill, and destroy my life.

The devil does NOT play fair, and I will choose NOT to be ignorant of this. You are my strength, You are my defender, but this still requires action from me as true acts of worship are acts of obedience, not just words of praise.

I recognize that like a fish swimming up stream, I too will feel the resistance of this world as I swim against the current. However, I choose the cross before me as the world becomes more and more distant behind me. I want to be in the world, loving others, but not of the world. I choose to be set a part so that Your purposes may come into fruition among the Earth as Your kingdom comes and Your will is done.

I want to do more then just hear your Word…I want to live it. I am your disciple in today’s world, and just as Jesus instructs the 12 disciples in Matthew 10:5-8….I want to give what you allow me to receive.

These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy,[a]drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

Thank you Lord for this day. For this is the day You have made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.

Forever and ever in Jesus’ name, Amen!
