Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for loving me. You have chosen me, not by chance, but by choice, to be a part of Your purposes among the Earth. I want to be about your business through faith by works. Loving the unlovable, extending Your light to those in darkness, praying for those who are both running his/her race as well as for those who are still searching for You, while surrendering judgement of all to You.
We all fall short of the glory of God and we are all running our own individual races. My mind and my heart are Yours. There is no room for thinking about other’s shortcomings. Keep my eyes fixed on You. I receive Your acceptance through repentance, as well Your discipline and the renewing of my mind. I choose to focus on my own shortcomings, as there are plenty.
I want to have a heart pleasing to You so that I am able to meaningfully carry out all the plans You have for me. I will wait on You, Lord. I will move when you say move and stand when I am to stand, while praying and claiming Your Word. When I fail, correct me so that I do not stay off Your path long.
I refuse to be ashamed of You and all You’ve done for me. You are hope, consistency, and true justice in a world who does not know what these three characteristics truly mean. You are judge overall. I am nearly Your vessel…a servant who can do nothing without You. Abide in me, Lord, as I choose to surrender my ways and wants…my pride, so that I may truly live by abiding in You. It is worth the choice and all that comes with making that choice. For it is not me that people reject, but it is Your son’s name, YESHUA, that remains offensive to all who do not truly know You.
I praise You and give You all the glory and honor. My ministry starts at home. Help me to be a wife who respects and submits to her husband as well as a mom who disciplines, loves, and teaches Your Word to Your children through my actions first and then by my words.
These are the days that You have made, I will rejoice and be glad in them. No matter what may come, because You are in control, and Lord of my life.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!
